Vile Karimi and Haizea Huegun got together last year in Guimarães, working on what would later become 'Peach'. While Vile Karimi's compositions seamlessly blend ethereal textures, hypnotic rhythms, and poignant melodies, creating a meticulously woven auditory tapestry designed to evoke introspection and profound engagement - exploring the visceral connections that only sound can foster - Haizea Huegun works firmly between the tradition of western classical music and currents such as minimalism and neoclassicism, and is used to adapt her playing to different mediums and contexts. Together, they worked both inside and outside their respective comfort zones, deconstructing what is expected from each of the artists, in an EP that is short in duration but rich in experimentation and depth. CCA's 2025 season is now open.
