Vehículo Autónomo Una Meditacion Desviada

“…Keep in mind that there are things. There are things you'll never understand. And you don't have to understand everything. Like the elevator getting stuck and you being outside. Being outside. And inside, the light. Even though you can't see anything. Even though you can't see anything." "I had no money in the account and I was happy. I had no money in the account and I wasn't happy. Money doesn't matter. It can't be counted. I can't count it. Not me, not you. It's something that exists, a lost memory. And you have to be aware of it without words. And I do things I don't want to do just to see how it goes. To see what happens." "So many reasons for everything I did. So many reasons for everything I didn't do. So many reasons end up trapping me. I don't wear them anymore.” Vehículo Autónomo, a Spoken Word performance act unfolding across Madrid and Lisbon. For this 'misguided meditation' Ramon, visual artist at first (comics, paintings, video art…), steps out of his regular literacy of choice to offer a standalone work of poetic expression that defies traditional structure, rhyme or syntax to explore new possibilities in enunciation. There is not too much sense of performance here, but everything is -and will be- completely improvised Vehículo Autónomo employs narrative and dialogue between Word and music to generate encoded storytelling for subconscious access and appeal. Very much part and admirer of that dialogue and tradition, and from his own and (un)usual experimental music practice. Borja sets the bedding and pillows for a laydown-trip that few know where its destiny will be met. All achieved by Intermodulation of FM operators. A basement-improvised post-minimalist spoken word piece, narcotic, murky and contemplative. Where Stand-up Drone meets Acid Storytelling. Think Idea Fire Company, Tim Goss on holidays in Alicante, or that beautiful record by Christian Mirande on Regional Bears from a couple of years ago. A single 28 min piece recorded in Tetuán, Madrid - we believe it was July, in the pandemic year of 2020. Finally released as originally intended on a limited edition of 75 CD’s with artwork by Granada’s finest Fátima Moreno, screen printed by Gonçalo Duarte in Lisbon. Produced by Borja Caro Mastering by Carlos Nascimento
