DOGS VERSUS SHADOWS
Of Apex and Arcs
After a triple release of all-in-all debut albums, Prisma Sonora now releases a sonic essay by the prolific Dogs Versus Shadows (UK). The inmost antenna of Lee Pylon, Nottingham based broadcaster, known by his late radio shows Kites & Pylons and Oblique Radio Show.
Of Apex And Arcs is a sonic study about typography. Imagine each stroke of a pioneer typeface designer converted into sounds (colour) or silences (white space). Waveforms working as graphic sonars and patched like a modern typographic system.
Each type is an electronic phonogram, surrealistically formulated as a communication medium. Every sound operates as glyphs on a pictorial suite.
The sound of synths and otherworldly soundscapes makes this mini-album a treat for radiophonic collectors - bleeps and crackles for your Autumns audio cortex!
