Quiet Husband (Richie Culver) Lands

Richie Culver mints his N3Wlow label with a new Quiet Husband tape, tilting from high velocity 180BPM techno to sloshing dark ambient x rhythmic noise. In cold pursuit of an outstanding 2025 drill x noise deviation, ‘I Trust Pain’ as Richie Culver for Rainy Miller’s Fixed Abode label, Humberside’s prodigal son returns to his core Quiet Husband concerns strung between mutant club undercurrents and dankest atmospheres. He attends to the former with a new found bias toward prevailing fast techno trends a la Nebuchadnezzar or the Omen Wapta label in the dank subs, brownian motion x mercurial polyrhythms of ‘Chosen’, notably refusing conventional hi-hats or signposts in favour of more phantasmic, unresolved momentum that also guides the ghostly thrum of ‘Form’ at a recklessly high 180BPM+, or to more oblique degrees in a ‘Rot’ resembling Russell Haswell’s ‘Wild Tracks’ ramped by Woody 92. A notable development of his production style is also registered on the beatless call of the void ‘Dull’, particularly a more layered grasp of atonal, arrhythmic structuring, inspired by the film ‘Begotten ‘ (E. Elias Merhige, 1989) and its bleak, corporeal aesthetic. Cop while u can cop.
