The Archive of Portuguese Illustration aims to promote and enhance knowledge about the history of this artistic practice in Portugal. In addition to the exhibition Archive of Portuguese Illustration: Transformations and Contemporary Trends, the project includes various events and an online directory that fulfils a fundamental role in preserving cultural memory and is constantly being updated. The Archive of Portuguese Illustration project is the result of a joint application to DGARTES by Casa do Design, Centro de Arte Oliva, Centro de Artes de Águeda (CAA) and Centro de Artes i Caldas da Rainha.
