Like the first edition, Blunt’s music often contrast discreet lyrical themes and a sawed off charm with honest and grandiose musical backdrops. The mix of lo-fi americana in the softly melodious guitars and floury drums with Blunt’s informal British wordplay gives the album a sense of placelessness. A favorite of ours since Hype Williams. Essential!
