The spread on the video featuring Michelle Pfeifer and Henry Fonda is originally found in Bravo nr 32 from 22nd of September 1982. In the publication we use only half of each original poster. — dead pages is a magazine, which exceeds the usual format of other books in our catalog –both in physical size and in the fact that it will be continuously printed as an unlimited, but numbered edition– as well as by not having any binding. Instead, each edition of dead pages is composed of loose 64 x 44 cm prints that are folded in half and contained in a screen printed, PVC sleeve. It is our attempt to look at and reexamine the hidden messages that exist in our library. Each issue is our (re-)interpretation of one of the books we found and collected. BRAVO is the largest teen magazine within the German language sphere. The first issue was published in 1956 and featured Marylin Monroe on the cover. In the 1970s the magazine sold more than one million copies and continued to do so till the late 90’s. Dead pages Issue No.3 features rearranged and rephotographed posters taken from the middle spreads of the magazine, dating from the 60’s to the 90’s.
