Generalstrejk is among the three archival, private-press and previously unreleased recordings by underground Swedish experimentalist electronics project Civilistjävel!. Initially drawn from a trove of material produced in the late 1990s and early 2000s, there’s a timely freshness to the minimal techno on this particular disc. This is especially true of the 20-minute odyssey of rolling beats and icy textures that is this release’s title track.
